Hello again :) I’m Audrey, the photographer and I’m the boss of the business (although i like to see it more as the team leader and bill payer) I will introduce the rest of the team later… Myy elegant home studio is situated out in the sticks (as they would say in my part of the world) in a small village called Dungiven , just 20 mins drive on the Belfast side of lovely Derry (Northern Ireland) and approx 60 mins from Belfast city, (Northern Ireland). I hope to introduce myself a little bit more in this section so that you can get to know me better…

PHOTOGRAPHER STUDIO DERRY
A lot of people will have connected my wedding photography to my other brand www.c2photographyanddesign.co.uk but for 2019 and beyond I have decided to now run my wedding photography under my personal brand www.akphotographer.co.uk - I hope this doesn’t confuse you all too much but its a transition that’s needed :) So please bare with me and hope that the move over is an smooth one and I’m hoping I can still be found out there in the World Wide Web (ekkks).
C2 photography and Design will now be associated with my organic studio portraiture of maternity, newborn, children and families…as you are more than likely at the early stages of your wedding planning I’m assuming you don’t want to go there just yet haha …so let’s stay focused on one thing at a time - but please note that as a gesture for my couples that we don’t forgot about you over at C2, all our booked wedding couples get their first portrait session complimentary to use for their first born, first wedding anniversary or if family is on hold a little after the hectic stress of the big day and you value your freedom for a little longer ,we also welcome with open arms your furry friends to our studio :) Anyhow, we don’t need to worry about all that baby stuff now but just something to keep in mind when the confetti settles.
When developing my new website I have read so many experts advice on how to write about yourself on your website - for anyone undertaking this daunting task, i’m sure they will agree it is so darn hard…I know exactly the kind of person that I am (I definitely chat a lot for one and I know I’m a good wee soul) but its hard sometimes to put your best qualities and characteristics into words without sounding egotistical and a bit “here’s me and whos like me”. I find that words aren’t a true representation of a character and you need to be in the presence of people’s energy to get a true feeling and connection for who they are. That being said I am very much a person that gets on well with all and have in many occasion booked couples online without meeting before hand… Although personally I love meeting my couples in person , sitting down with a cuppa in my cosy studio and chatting everything photography and about your plans for the big day (and food if I go off on one haha) …that’s right one other major thing about me is im very much a foodie - I have educated myself throughout the years to be cautious about caring for my mind, body and soul and one of these elements being food and nutrition. As a photographer and sorry couples but no offense (more importantly) a mum of two (see video) and wife, I simply can’t allow myself to get unwell. I need optimal energy and health for any giving wedding day and I need also to be reliable for advanced bookings.
ABOUT YOU
You are the type of person that values photography and appreciates the investment in having a professionally bounded album to preserve those special memories. You love your family dearly and want the formal set ups but also want as many causal images caught among the little moments and interactions with each other on your day too, although you are not totally keen on posing and would prefer mostly candid style images rather than over posed ones you don’t mind the odd structured setups to guarantee them WOW shots to show off your venue , stunning dress and amazing displays.
If posing is not for you , do not worry , I am 100% directional in setting you both up and you have nothing really to do but look glam and gorgeous. I am trained to shape all body types so that I compliment without making you feel uncomfortable.
As we now live among this new world of flawless filters , and if your anything like me you adore the option to smooth out those slightly annoying imperfections and soften some laughter lines… we like to add our on ‘filter’ (minus the bunny ears and butterflies) and are passionate about flawless finished images, Suzanne our professional photo retoucher will become one of your very best friends as she gives the album a beautiful natural cleanup before it is sent it off to production…

WORKING TOGETHER
I have had the pleasure to witness and photograph hundreds of weddings in my past 10 years as a wedding photographer , but when it comes to weddings there really truly is no two the same , this is what excites me more than ever and known this has kept me driven and buzzing from one wedding to the next through out the years. I literally feel the butterflies each morning I travel out to shoot a wedding for that day and can’t wait to meet new people and become part of something really special in their life’s. Honestly I know how much of a privilege and honor this is!
I have no limits to venues and I have captured weddings from enchanting castles, to barns up in the hills in the middle of nowhere. Everyday getting the same amount of energy and as amazing as the last , I put my full focus on capturing every single frame , so much so that I have now developed a style which has a cinematic feel and captured as if scenes from a love movie. I love to push my creativity while shooting a wedding and have mastered a clever little structure plan of the day to ensure a smooth flow throughout. I consider the family members, new and old and don’t like having them hang about , I know they would prefer to be in the bar getting the celebrations started , I even consider your guests and I aim to be as discrete as possible in the venues so that they aren’t distracted and this day is about you two and not the noisy photographer. You could say I try to blend into your day and often get stuck into non photography duties too - I don’t mind helping out with buttonholes , tying up shoe laces or fixing at the dresses, and I’ve even been known to change a babies bum or two in my day lol. Many couples just like my calming nature and many times this has come out to full force - I love being the reference guide , as most families have never done this before. I’m a good source when it comes to knowing what to do next. They value my experience.
